Get Out Of Your Head
AdlerImprov is for actors, not caricatures. Every art form has its own kind of improvisation. What the improv comedy schools teach is more like writing than acting. Improv Comedy is about saying “yes, and…”, broad characters and identifying patterns, in short: writing fast in your head, that is the opposite of good acting. Great acting demands that you be out of the head and play truthfully, spontaneously, within the imaginary world of the script: clever has nothing to do with it. Our actors are present and alive using their bodies and senses to command their space. We teach actors to use spontaneity in scripted, memorized scenes and get out of their head and into the present through action.
What We Offer
Rob Adler works with clients in private coachings, on set and small classes which offer advanced professional training. Our three level program teaches a revolutionary technique that allows you to utilize your current skills and talents and go beyond; delivering memorable performances in every audition and every take, because great acting looks improvised.
Acting can only be learned by doing. If you were studying dance would you learn kicks by watching someone else practice? In our 3-Level training program you will train all class, every class to develop a technique that is in your body and becomes second nature.
