INSIDE THE WORK

More freedom inside the scene.

For actors who know the lines and have done the work—and want that preparation to disappear into behavior. AdlerImprov helps you stop pushing, anticipating, presenting, or trying to reproduce the last good take.

Bring fully learned material. Rob uses games and playable adjustments to redirect attention, open new behavior, and bring the discovery back into the scene.

Rob Adler is a director, filmmaker, actor, educator, and the founder of AdlerImprov. He is on the faculty of The Theatre School at DePaul University and previously served on the faculty of the USC School of Dramatic Arts.

TESTIMONIALS

Rob Adler’s class has given me a new sense of play in my work, as well as an ability to roll with the punches both onstage and on set. Since beginning Rob’s class, I have had the flexibility and confidence to improvise staging while on horseback for a national commercial, and to improvise dialogue while onstage – in ASL Sign Language!”
